When I think back to how much time was spent in these lady’s presence it astounds me.
We come from a school with old fashioned values and beliefs. But hey! not all of us followed the rules. A school where nuns had all the authority.
A school where they gave you a fine for chewing gum, seems like a lucrative business they made a fortune out of me.
We went through some fun times together including kneeling down on the floor while teachers ran around ensuring our skirts touched the floor. AAAHHH! The memories.
There are stories of Sister Geraldine, Sister Bungeye and there was Sister Sylvia who nobody knew what she did but burn toast all day. She was old and grumpy, and I’m still surprised how she managed not to burn the whole school down.
Oh! and let’s not forget Mr Hogan who I heard liked to look down girl’s tops!!! What the?
The memories continued to flow throughout the night, hearing everyone’s stories and how their lives have panned out to date.
All in all, I am pleased to see that everyone has become, strong, independent, career minded, driven, beautiful women in their own right.
It was such a pleasure to see so many faces last night, but I also stopped to think about how many were missing. Here’s to hoping the next time the group photo triples in size.
I guess, with all the joking aside OLSH wasn’t such a bad place after all, it has made us who we are today.
Be sure to click on the photo if you would like to download a copy of the group photo.
Cheers girls! Till the next one.
